Article writing competition organized by T-n-L Club
Striking a new chord in the overall developmental program for the up and coming engineers, the T-N-L club of the Electrical department of Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology(YCET) organized an Article Writing Competition on the theme “Yoga to prevent Covid-19” on the occasion of 7th International Yoga Day. The International Day of yoga has been celebrated annually on 21 June since 2015; following its inception in the United Nations General in 2014. Yoga is a physical, mental, and spiritual practice that originated in India. The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his UN address, suggested the date of 21 June, as it is the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere and shares a special significance in many parts of the world. The event was ordained to test the skill levels of young talent from the 4th, 6th, and 8th semesters in the fields that expand beyond the scopes of their regular curriculum. An event being a success saw the energetic participation of students by received 10 entries from all departments. The first position was bagged by ArishPreet Kour from the 3rd semester CSE department and 2nd position was bagged by Vipul Sharma from the 6th-semester Electrical Department.
