In association with the Institution Innovation Council (IIC) at Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology, the Department of Civil Engineering, Jammu hosted an Online Poster Making Competition on the theme “Save The Mother Earth” in connection with Earth Day. The event was organized for the students of Civil Engineering YCET Jammu. Who participated with lots of enthusiasm. Er.Rajnish Magotra HOD (Civil Engg) welcomed the participants from various Semesters of the branch and said that The aim and objective of Earth Day’s celebration is to create mass awareness among the budding engineers to know that how one can protect the planet from things like pollution and deforestation and making our world a happier, healthier place to live. Er. Dinesh Gupta Dean (Academics) (ycet), appreciated the efforts of Civil Engg department for organizing such Event which was highly fruitful and successful. He also thanked the participants for sharing knowledge, utilising valuable time and Innovative ideas. During the competition 30 students participated and this competition was Inter semester of civil engineering branch. This event was witnessed by Er B R Verma ,chief coordinator ,faculty members, heads of other branches, Er Neeraj Pandita, Hod (Mech Engg),Er.Loveneesh Talwar,Hod(Electrical Engg) Er.Robin Kumar.,Hod(CSE) The Event was concluded with vote of thanks by Er. Sandeep Thakur,Assistant Professor. The competition was a great success. Ms.Anjali Manhas from 3rd Semester secured 1st position. 2nd position was bagged by Mr.Rahul Datta of 3rd semester. Free Career counseling session was also organized besides this competition by department of Civil Engineering YCET Jammu for all the participants.The whole event was coordinated by Er.
