YCET celebrated National Science Day
To bring out the creative expression of the students and to gauge their awareness quotient, the Applied Sciences Department of Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology (YCET) under it’s IIC cell celebrated “National Science Day” in the honor of Nobel Laureate, Sir C V Raman who discovered the Raman Effect on February 28, 1928. The Department organizes Poster/Collage making Competition & students displayed their artistic skills through an array of posters on theme “Future of Science, Technology & Innovation: Impacts on Education, Skills & Work”. It was overwhelming to see the level of enthusiasm & zeal in the participants. The competition witnessed several strong ideas & messages to promote innovations in the technical area, thereby fulfilling the objective of this competition. Dr. Rakesh Verma, HoD (Applied Sciences), addressed the participants & informed them about the assessment criteria like relevance to the theme, originality, impact of the message, creativity and overall presentation. In the poster-making competition, the positions were bagged by Ubaid Mushtaq & Suhail Yaqoob, Sahil Shafi Bhat & Thakur Sanket, respectively. Prof. (Dr.) A. K. Srivastava, Director, YCET motivated the students to develop three I’s i.e. Inquiry, Innovation and Impact in their daily life activities. He appreciated the efforts of students, department & IIC in-charges, for making the event successful.
