YCET organises webinar on “Atmanirbhar Bharat”
The Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology ( YCET ), Jammu organises webinar on “Panel Discussion on Atmanirbhar Bharat – Vocal for Local, Make in India” for 3rd and 7th sem. CSE, IT and Electrical Engineering students.Atmanirbhar Bharat, is a policy formulated by Prime Minister of India Sri Narendra Modi in 2014 for making India a bigger and more important part of the global economy”. The pursuing policies are efficient, competitive, resilient, self-sustaining and self-generating.Atmanirbhar Bharat doesn’t mean “self-containment”, “isolating away from the world” or being “protectionist”.
The resource person Er. Akhil Menon is working as Assistant Prof. in Jain University,Banglore and expert in the field of Robotics, Web Designing, GIT,Linux, IOT etc. He briefed the students to become an Atmanirbhar by taking examples. He further explained not to buy lights used in Diwali festival from market rather than make it by yourself and use it. He further motivated students to use Indian products rather than foreign products so as to improve our economy and to promote our Indain business. The students were fortunate to have got the chance to attend the session for increasing their knowledge and creative extravagance along with the expert. The guests remained highly commemorative of the efforts of the organizing session .Prof. ( Dr. ) A. K. Srivastava, Director, YCET addressed the studentsand said that during COVID-19 pandemic India faced difficultiesregarding procuring many things which were earlier not being made inIndia and hence realized the importance to become Atmanirbhar. Students of Electrical, CSE/IT and students from Jain University, Bangalore were present during the session.
