Nurturing good social values at a young age not only develops character but produces talent that is sustainable and advantageous to this nation. Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology has yet again fortified its commitment towards imparting such quality values by organizing a one day Webinar to commemorate International Women’s day on the topic “Women in decision making positions – is the world scenario changing? “.
During the inauguration of the webinar, Er.Loveneesh talwar , H.O.D Electrical department began his address with much fervour by talking about the necessity of visualizing the shift in paradigm marked by Women in key positions all over the world and how that translates in terms of efficient decision making and betterment of nations. Er. Dinesh Gupta, Dean Academics also commended the role of Dept of Electrical Engineering and IIC cell of YCET in taking vital steps to give burning issues such as this a widespread and prolific platform where it can generate a healthy curiosity amongst the future generations of technocrats in regards to the social impact and their obligations towards it.
The event featured a charismatic talk by the key resource person Miss Pallavi Sareen , Editor in chief TSL Straight line. A renowned visionary in her field, she took the opportunity to propagate the importance of recognizing the changing role of women in decision making at high places and cited many captivating examples where such decisions taken by women have been game changers and deliver her talk on “Women in Decision Making Positions; is the world-Scenario changing?”
The students were fortunate that they have got the chance to attend this session for increasing their awareness and well being. The guests remained highly commemorative of the efforts of the organizing Electrical Department, YCET for getting the best out these opportunities, which are being provided under the well wishes of the YCET Management.
