Under the Jammu & Kashmir Employability Enhancement Training ( JEET ) scheme, Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology ( YCET ), Jammu has signed a Memorandum of Understanding ( MoU ) with ICT Academy, Chennai on 5th March, 2021. ICT Academy is an initiative of the Government of India in collaboration with State Governments and Industry. ICT Academy is not-for-profit organization, the first of its kind venture under the Public – Private – Partnership model that endeavors to train the higher education teachers and students thereby exercises developing the next generation teachers and industry ready students. ICT Academy was started to meet skill requirements of the industry and generate more employment especially in tier II and tier III parts of the country.
In this MoU ICT shall provide training and course material on the list of different engineering courses provided by them to Pre-Final Year & Final Year students. In YCET, the Civil Engineering & Mechanical Engineering students have opted for training on AutoCAD and Electrical Engineering & Computer Science & Engineering students have opted for Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence. This training shall include theory and practical classes which will be covered in 150 to 160 hours. On the successful completion of the training students will be provided certificates by ICT Academy and placement opportunities. Needless to mention here that the training on these courses shall help the students to improve their employability in the industry.
